Mood Mouse Server Installation:

Mood Mouse Server:

The server automatically starts broadcasting when it is started. You will notice a green icon in the top left corner if you have a valid network connection. Depending on the configuration of your computer, you may have multiple IP address entries in the server's IP drop down box. There will be one entry for each connected network interface you have. Typically, there will be only one entry here, usually for your wireless network connection. If you also have a 'wired' connection, there will be an additional entry here for that interface.

If you have multiple entries in your IP drop down box, select the address that corresponds to your wireless (Wi-Fi) network. If you're not sure which one is your wireless address, compare the available addresses with the Wi-Fi address of your iPhone/iPod Touch. This is done by:

From the drop down box on Mood Mouse server, you want to select the server address matching the first three numbers in the IP address of your iPhone or iPod Touch. Now your server is broadcasting on the same network as your device.

If you don't have an entry that matches the Wi-Fi network of your iPhone, see the section below about connecting to a static IP address.

Alternatively, you can simply select each network address listed while your iPhone is on the Domains tab of Mood Mouse until your server shows up in the availability list.

Server Mouse Configuration:
Change the scroll speed by adjusting the slider on the mouse configuration page or enable/disable two finger trackpad scrolling.

Adding/ Removing applications to the quick launch:
To add an application select the add button and choose either a .exe application (Windows) or a .app application (OS X). The settings will be automatically transfered to your device.

iPhone/ iPod Touch:

Connecting to a listed Server:
The first tab labeled "Domains" displays the names of any computers running Mood Mouse Server on the same network as your iPhone/iPod Touch. To connect to a server, simply select it from the list.

Connecting to the Server via Static IP:
If no servers are listed under your Domains tab, or if you want to connect to a server on a different network, you can use a Static IP. Under the "Domains" tab, select the "Domains" arrow in the upper left corner. Select the add (+) button in the upper left corner to add a static ip address. If there is no add (+) button, select the Edit button in the upper left, then the Add (+) button in the upper right. Enter the IP address of the server. This is listed in the drop down box of the Mood Mouse server program.

Once added, you can select the IP address from the list to connect to it. To go back and view detected servers, select local from this screen.

Trackpad & Keyboard:
The Trackpad screen functions as a standard two button mouse trackpad with the addition of two finger scrolling. If you are in a window that can be scrolled, use two fingers on the touch screen to scroll the window and one finger to move the mouse.

The keyboard is invoked by pressing the keyboard icon in the top left corner of the trackpad. To switch to a full screen trackpad or keyboard simply turn the iPhone/ iPod touch to a landscape orientation. If the keyboard is up when turned sideways, the full screen keyboard will be displayed. If not, a full screen trackpad will be displayed.

Air Mouse:
Control the mouse cursor by tilting your iPhone/ iPod left, right, forward and back. When the Air Mouse displays a circular target the mouse is stopped. When the mouse is moving you will see a directional animation indicating the direction the cursor is moving. If you want to re-center your cursor, select the center button between the left and right mouse buttons. To exit Air Mouse, select another screen from the tab at the bottom.

Image Transfer:
Under the "Image" tab, select the "Add" icon in the top right corner of the screen. Select a photo from you library. To transfer the picture to your computer simply make a flicking gesture (like casting a fishing pole) with your iPhone/ iPod touch. The image will take a few seconds to transfer, then will be displayed on your computer screen. Photo's sent to your computer are saved on the desktop in a folder called moodmouse_uploads.

App Launcher:
Under the "More->Apps" tab, select an application from the scrolling wheel. Press the play button to launch the application. If the wheel is empty you are either not connected to a server or you haven't added any applications from the Mood Mouse Server.

Trouble Shooting:
Quick Check
Verify Mood Mouse Server is running (Green Icon is showing in the top left corner of the mood mouse server). If you see a red icon you do not have a valid network connection.

If using Bonjour to locate the server make sure the IP address displayed in the drop down list in the Mood Mouse Server is on the same network as your iPhone/ iPod. If not choose another from the dropdown menu or connect to the displayed IP address using the static IP method on the iPod/ iPhone.
